A brief history of Teak Wood

Form Ghana produces high quality teak timber (Tectona grandis). The wood is weather, termite- and pesticide-resistant because of the natural oils that are contained within the wood’s fibres. This makes it suitable for outdoor use, such as garden furniture or boat decks, even without treatment with oils or varnish.

The attractive appearance makes teak desired for interior use as well as outdoor. Teak flooring, cutting board and veneer remain popular throughout the world.
